Planned Giving
Forge a Legacy of Healing and Connection
At Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, we empower veterans with service-induced brain injuries—like Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)—by providing highly trained service dogs free of charge. When you include us in your estate plans, you ensure that our mission continues long into the future, offering life-changing support to those who have served.
What Is Planned Giving?
Planned giving allows you to make charitable contributions through your estate or financial plans while also meeting your personal and financial goals. These meaningful gifts create a lasting impact for the veterans and service dogs we serve.
Ways to Make a Planned Gift
Bequests (Wills and Trusts)
Naming Warrior Freedom Service Dogs in your will or trust is one of the simplest and most flexible ways to support our mission.
Sample language:
“I give [specific amount, percentage, or asset] to Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization located at 2401 Bachman Street, Suite 4, Chattanooga, TN 37406, EIN: 47-3304033, to be used for its general purposes.”
Beneficiary Designations
You can name Warrior Freedom Service Dogs as a full or partial beneficiary of:
-
Life insurance policies
-
Retirement accounts (IRA, 401(k), etc.)
-
Bank or investment accounts
These options are easy to arrange and can provide powerful support for our mission.
Charitable Trusts
Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs) and Charitable Lead Trusts (CLTs) can provide income to your loved ones during your lifetime, with the remaining assets going to Warrior Freedom Service Dogs. These can also offer tax benefits depending on your situation.
Endowment Gifts
By contributing to or establishing an endowment, your gift supports our mission in perpetuity. The principal is preserved while the interest helps fund training, equipment, and support for our veteran-dog teams.
Your Legacy, Their Freedom
Your planned gift is a lasting act of generosity. It ensures we can continue providing trained service dogs to veterans who need them most, offering healing, independence, and renewed purpose.
If you’ve already included Warrior Freedom Service Dogs in your estate plans, we’d love to thank you and welcome you into our Legacy of Freedom Society.
